Dr. Ruth Berggren

Dr. Ruth Berggren headlined Alamo Asian American Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Community Group Lunch Program held at chamber member, Sushihana Restaurant. The program was presented by Nationwide Insurance, sponsor for the women’s group series this year and co-sponsored by South Texas Women’s Business Center and SAN ANTONIO WOMAN magazine.

Dr. Berggren is a San Antonioan with Longstanding ties to Haiti who returned to that nation in January to join emergency responders after a 7.0 earthquake hit near the Haiti Capitol of Port Au Prince.   She volunteered for earthquake relief efforts based on her expertise as an infectious disease physician and knowledge of language and culture. She relayed her experiences in Hait during our program.

Be a part of  the Alamo Asian American Chamber of Commerce Women’s Community. This group meets bi-monthly for a lunch or breakfast program to hear a speaker discuss what they are doing locally and internationally to positively impact our world.

The group will have speakers that will discuss topics in the area of professional development, philanthropy, social media, networking and relationship expansion.
